Clinical Significance of Serum Amounts of Glycoprotein in Various Diseases

Abstract
The author made similar studies on the ideal normal range of the each glycoprotein fraction with that of the. serum level of the protein-hound-carbohydrate, which was previously reported.
0. 1 ml sera from 137 normal control group, 722 statistical control group and 274 disease group were applied on the zip zone electrophoresis kit(Helena co., USA) and densitometer.. The data analysed by previously reported statistical methods by several authors.
The followings were ensued;
1. No specific disease could be diagnosed by determination of percenatge of the each. glycoprotein fractions.
2. The estmated normal range of the alpha,-glycoprotein was.8~18%.
3. The estimated normal range of the alph.a2 glycoprotein was 34~540%
4. The estimated normal range of the beta-glycoprotein was 15~30%. 5. The estimated normal range of the gamma-glycoprotein was 6~26%.
6. Those normal ranges were induced with second statistical method, estimating normal
range after confirmation of the normal distribution on the selected small number of the
control group(normal control group in this expriment).
